CAS Investment Development Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “CASID”), with registered capital of RMB 550,000,000.00 Yuan, is a company of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, with business focusing on the commercialization of cutting-edge science and technology, and incubation of high-tech enterprises engaged in scientific and technological industry investment, scientific and technological achievement transformation services, fund investment and other businesses.

CASID is formerly the “Science and Technology Promotion Economic Fund Commission of the State Planning Commission, the State Economic and Trade Commission, and the Chinese Academy of Sciences” (hereinafter referred to as the “Fund Commission”), which was established in 1987 with the approval of the State Council and the People’s Bank of China. In October 2019, the Commission was wholly transformed into an enterprise under the Chinese Academy of Sciences

CASID is one of China’s earliest investment platforms focusing on science and technology related finance. It supported and promoted the early development of a number of well-known enterprises such as the Lenovo Group, Zhongke Sanhuan, Chengdu Di’ao, Hanwang Technology, and initiated the Shanghai Lianchuang Investment Management Co., Ltd. with Shanghai Lianhe Investment Co., Ltd., carried out the fund investment business and incubating a number of excellent technology enterprises.The company actively promotes the transformation of scientific achievements and cultivates and incubates enterprises for the industrialization of scientific and technological achievements. In addition to direct investment in key scientific and technological achievement industrialization projects of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, it also carries out technology industry investment fund business through the jointly held CASII (Beijing) Investment Management Co., Ltd.
